History:
For the asian market five right-hand-drive CCRs were built, according to Koenigsegg. Two of them received the car paint Lava Orange: 007021-CCR and 007023-CCR. In 2005 this 007021-CCR went on a tour to Asia in order to promote the CCR models. Singapore and Hong Kong were visited in October 2005. It seems that this CCR stayed in Asia for quite some time. In 2006 during November 007021-CCR was displayed during the Los Angeles Auto Show, and also for the promotion of the movie "Redline" that features a Koenigsegg CCX model. A new owner for 007021-CCR was found in Great Britian after the return from Asia and California, U.S.A.

Exterior Look:
007021-CCR is the third CCR to receive Lava Orange as car paint, the famous and very popular car paint for CCRs. Besides being a very popular car paint, the colour Lava Orange was propably also choosen because of some special meanings from the Theory Of Colours and the Psychology Of Colours. For more information please refer to the category Other details. 007021-CCR's original front splitter was painted in a high gloss finished light grey respectively a silver-colour-look, like the front splitter of 007020-CCR. It is known that the front splitter of 007021-CCR was repainted in Lava Orange during 2009. Also a rear wing was added and the rims were painted in black colour and it is assumed that these changes were done also in 2009.

Other Details:
The company representing Koenigsegg in Singapore, Asia Pacific, was the host for the launch of the CCR model in Singapore in 2005. Asia Pacific ordered the Lava Orange coloured 007021-CCR for this launch in Singapore to which an exclusive circle of the richest high-end enthusiasts for supercars were invited. As already mentioned in the category Exterior look there are some meanings for the orange colour from the Theory Of Colours and/or the Psychology Of Colours: enjoyment of life, curiosity and creativity. Orange symbolises also a positive attitude towards life, also adventure and readiness to assume risk. Reflecting on the Koenigsegg? And maybe also on the driver?

Interior Fittings:
007021-CCR's interior fittings are (Lava) Orange and black. Like in 007008-CCR the proportion of both colours seem to be well balanced and (Lava) Orange dominates the interior look. 007021-CCR and 007008-CCR almost look like twins but they are not. The seating areas and backrests are (Lava) Orange - like the exterior car paint - and all the stabilizing edges of the seats as well as headrests are black. The back panel is also in (Lava) Orange which contrasts nicely with the black headrests of the seats. The (Lava) Orange seating and backrest areas seem to have (Lava) Orange hem seams bordering to black areas of the seats. A difference to 007008-CCR with black hem seams. Another difference to 007008-CCR: 007021-CCR has diamond shaped stitching in (Lava) Orange on the seating areas and backrests of the seats as well as on the back panel. 007008-CCR has not have any diamond shaped stitchings which became fashionable later than the manufacturing of 007008-CCR. Also in (Lava) Orange are the centers of the doors. Because of stitchings and hem seams in (Lava) Orange used for the seats and back panel, it is mostlikely the case that also for the center of the doors, also (Lava) Orange hem seams are bordering the black door frames in 007021-CCR. Black A-pillars and a black area at the upper part of the dashboard - bordering towards the windshield - continuing into the center of the dashboard, leading down the center console and ending between the seats. 007021-CCR's round framing of the dashboard instruments like speedometer and rotational-speed sensor, etcetera is black and nicely contrasting to the larger (Lava) Orange areas of the dashboard. 007021-CCR is fitted with the original black steering wheel, just like 007008-CCR. Aluminum and therefore in a silver-colour-look are the surrounding frames of the four air outlets, the control panel which looks like a "dial phone", and other buttons below the "dial phone", radio as well as the gearshift of 007021-CCR. Last but not least a major difference between the CCRs, 007021-CCR is a right-hand-drive; 007008-CCR has a driver's position on the left hand side.

Performance Upgrade:
007021-CCR was equipped with the standard CCR engine with registration number 2103-001-025K, providing 806 horsepower from a V8 engine. In 2007 the engine was fully upgraded and a new engine management was installed which increased the power to quite an extend. If the suspensions springs were exchanged from the original yellow ones to stiffer suspension springs like for other CCRs is unfortunately unknown.
