History:
The introduction of the third manufactured Koenigsegg 007003-CC8S took place on the Geneva Motor Show in March 2003. The secondly manufactured 007002-CC8S was also presented during at the same time. 007003-CC8S does not have the typically air conditioning outlets on the central console. Inspite of later changes made to the CC8S car model, this missing feature makes it easier to identify this CC8S from others. The original bodywork contained rear lights of the older car model CC. This led to some confustion and 007003-CC8S was mistakenly identified as CC car model.

Exterior Look:
007003-CC8S's original car painted is Nordic Ice Green and received two or three new paintings: after the original Nordic Ice Green, the car received the first new car painting in grey with a tobacco and black interior. The second new colour is black with an interior colour cream. At least one other change took place with a change of the interior from cream to red and black. The exterior painting remained in a black car paint. Most probably the exterior car painting was renewed as well in the same black car paint. However a possible repainting in black cannot be confirmed.

Other Details:
007003-CC8S participated in May, 2003 in the Gumball 3000 race, which led from the east coast to the west coast of the U.S.A. Racing from San Francisco, California to Miami, Florida, patrolling police officers apparently caught the Koenigsegg in a 75 mph zone with 242 mph which equals to 389 km/h with a radar device. It is unknown, if the police was actually able to stop the car. The british licence plate number was of course a forgery. This number reflected the last six digits its VIN number.

Interior Fittings:
007003-CC8S was orginally manufactured with a Lava Orange and black interior. Next to the exterior changes of colours, the interior changed from the original Lava Orange and black to a Tobacco and black interior. Another and third change in the interior led to cream and black. Another and fourth change followed with with red and black. 007003-CC8S does not have the air conditioning outlets which are usually seen on the top of the central console of the earlier manufactured CC8Ss. Also the firstly manufactured CC8S is an exception and does not have two air outlets.

Performance Upgrade:
007003-CC8S has been manufactured with the original CC8S engine, providing the driver with 655 horsepower. Also manufactured with the original muffler set-up with two visible mufflers. This was changed later, using a cover up and the two mufflers appeared as one, much larger muffler.
