History:
00740-CCX was built during the summer of 2007 and was the first Koenigsegg to be exported later the same year to Japan. The official Koenigsegg car dealership Midream ordered 007040-CCX not for an already existing customer but in order in order to approach the market in Japan with a new generation of super- and hypercars. 00740-CCX was displayed at the Bingo Sport showroom in Tokyo in January 2008 and later in October 2008 at the Historic Automobile Festival Japan at the Twin Ring Motegi. The car drew attention but not enough to have been sold in 2008 in Japan. During the last three months of 2008, very unusually the Koenigsegg was offered on eBay most likely to attract interested persons and therefore potential buyers also outside of Japan. 00740-CCX was built as a left hand drive Koenigsegg and therefore this driver`s position was of an advantage also for the European and U.S. market as well. Whatever efforts were made 00740-CCX did not sell at that time and it seemed that the japanese market at least, was not ready for such a highest performance supercar. Several events during the Time Machine Festival 2009 in Japan were attended by 00740-CCX while being still for sale at the car dealership Bingo Sports. However still unsold 00740-CCX was displayed at the Ookami museum in the city of Kamisu, Japan in May 2010. 00740-CCX was suppose to be presented for one month however was displayed until end of August, 2010 and then returned to the Bingo Sport showroom in Tokyo. 00740-CCX stayed there unsold until the end 2012. After five years for sale, 00740-CCX was seen on public roads in Japan, registered with a japanese licence plate. It seems that 00740-CCX finally found a new owner and it is said that the owner uses 00740-CCX on regular basis from May 2013 onwards. On several occasions and events 00740-CCX was seen in Japan and spotted once with 007037-CCX. It is said that 00740-CCX still resides in Japan until now.

Exterior Look:
007040-CCX car paint was chosen in Snow White accentuated with clear coated carbon parts such as the Top Gear Rear Wing, the sills and the front splitter. Five-hole telephone dial rims - CCX standard at that time with 20 inches at rear and 19 inches at front - were mounted on 007040-CCX with brake calipers with a white Koenigsegg script and a red ceramic script on them. Aluminum brushed CCX script on the model name call-out panels on each side of the car were fitted in grey colour on clear coated carbon.

Interior Fittings:
007040-CCX`s interior colour is rather unique in its pastel colours. Light blue on the dashboard and upper center console section and also on the top of the doors. Light blue on some parts of the seats however the main colour of the seats is a very nicely matching creme, just like the back panel of the passenger cabin. Clear coated carbon parts are on the dashboard and black leather on the lower center console just look amazingly great - also for fans of pastel colours, the 1950`s and the colourings also used of japanese Manga illustrations. Such outstanding mix of colours were never changed over the years.
