History:
007041-CCX was presented in 2007 at the opening of the Koenigsegg Abu Dhabi / Dubai during October, along with 007039-CCX. Both CCXs were presented by Christian von Koenigsegg himself. 007041-CCX and 007039-CCX were shown at the 2007 Middle East International Motor Show in Dubai (see also 007039-CCX). After having displayed 007041-CCX at the Koenigsegg Abu Dhabi dealerhship, 007041-CCX was transported back to Sweden to the Koenigsegg headquarter because this CCX remained unsold in the United Arab Emirates. 007041-CCX was sold in 2008 and shipped to Canada where it was offered as the second Grand Prize in the Cash And Cars Lottery Canada to benefit the Albert Cancer Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. Bentley of Calgary received 007041-CCX at first in order to promote Koenigseggs as well as the second Grand Prize and benefiting the Founddation and Cancer Society. The winner of the second Grand Prize of the Lottery Mr. Louie Edgi opted for the cash value of the price which were 1.000.000,00 Canadian Dollars (CAD). Mr. Louie Edgi, a resident of Norman Wells in the Northest Terittories, who purchased the winning ticket while being for a cancer treatment in Edmonton, decided not to take the car because his home Norman Wells is a landlocked town with doesn`t have any road access to the rest of the country and has only 12 km of unpaved road. Therefore it make more than sense, that the CAD were more reasonable than a high performance supercar. 007041-CCX returned to Koenigsegg in Sweden. During 2009 a specific request from a U.S. car collector - propably from Florida - reached the Koenigsegg AB and asked for a CCXR. Since Koenigsegg had only an approval for the CCX series for the U.S. model year 2008, it was decided to convert 007041-CCX into a U.S. specification CCXR 2008 model to fulfill the existing order. The car arrived before February 2010 in the U.S.A. It is said that the car collector also owns 007072-CCXR Special Edition. 007041-CCX and 007072-CCXR were spotted in Florida from time to time. But in 2012 007041-CCX changed the home and went to another car collector in Florida and hardly seen again. In August 2015 007041-CCX was sold by Sotheby`s in Monterey, California at a price of US-Dollars 825.000,00 (before fees). Right now it is said that 007041-CCX found his new home in Colorado.

Exterior Look:
007041-CCX`s exterior appearance is a full gloss black exterior with a clear coated carbon Top Gear Rear Wing and front splitter. The rear center section and the model name call-off panels on both sides are in a silver-colour-look whereas the the lettering CCX was done in a contrasting lighter grey on the side panels. When 007041-CCX was converted into 007041-CCXR the exterior colouring stayed the same but the five-hole telephone dial wheels were changed into nive-spoke clear coated silver wheels. The rear sidemarker lights were changed from white to red in order to comply with the U.S. regulations. No other changes or upgrades were made during the transformation - at least other changes are not known.

Other Details:
007041-CCX had a appearance in the movie Fast Five with the actors Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson. For filming both Koenigseggs were transported in 2010 to Atlanta. After all the original lost VIN number was found by the son of Dave Metituk going through files of his father and finding photos - which were taken by Dave while spending time in August 2008 at Bentley of Calgary - of the VIN plate which clarified the the non-U.S.-specification VIN - which was unknown until December 2018. Also another aspect, why 007041-CCX and its production date and VIN led to some confusion.

Interior Fittings:
007041-CCX`s interior is finished in fine, black Alcantara upholstery on the dashboard and also covering seats with a contrast of white Alcantara seats inserts. The two doors have additional white Alcantara panels. The center console section is covered in black leather and almost all this interior did not change during the conversion from CCX to CCXR except two details in order to meet the U.S. regulations: a passenger airbag was added and the gauge cluster was changed from the original stack gauge unit to the Koenigsegg three-dial chronograph cluster, naturally as a U.S. specification car the speedometer in this cluster reads miles per hour units.
