History:
007042-CCXs manufacturing started within the first months of 2007 and was completed approximately during the third quarter of 2007. The official Koenigsegg representative at that time for United Kingdom, the exclusive car dealership Broughtons received 007042-CCX in November 2007 and the car was displayed by Broughtons at the famous Miles Per Hour 2007 Earls Court Event. During the Autosport International Event 007042-CCX was presented to the public in January 2008. This event took place at the NEC building in Birmingham. At the British International Motor Show in the convention center of London, at the ExCel Exhibition 007042-CCX was presented during January 2008. 007042-CCX was seen again during in Silverstone at the Le Mans Series in September 2008. At that time a british licence plate was attached to 007042-CCX which might mean that the first owner was found. However the first owner did not keep 007042-CCX a very long time. During January 2009 007042-CCX was on sale again at the british, exclusive car dealership Tom Hartley with 1600 miles on the odometer. About ten months later - during October - 007042-CCX was sold again. 007042-CCX was spotted later during a charity event to raise money for cancer patients. This event was organised by CLAN and 007042-CCX participated at the Clannonball Run. 007042-CCX appeared again during two occasions in Aberdeen, one of them during May 2010. 007042-CCX was not seen until again on sale at the RM Auction in London in October 2012. Even with two previous owners the auction brochure stated 1700 miles on the odometer. 007042-CCX had 1600 miles on the odometer in January 2009. Therefore it makes sense to assume that 007042-CCX was stored away for most of the time between January 2009 and October 2012. 007042-CCX was offered at the RM Auction in London on October 31st and estimated at GBP 235.000 - GBP 285.000. Actually 007042-CCX was sold at GBP 246.000 including the commission, which is quite a good bargain for a Koenigsegg. The exclusive car dealership SuperVettura purchased 007042-CCX and the Koenigsegg was on sale several times during 2013 and 2014. The very last time spotted at SuperVettura was in November 2014.

Exterior Look:
007042-CCXs exterior car paint is called Dophin Grey. Accents like the Top Gear Rear Wing, the side sills and the front splitter are made out of clear carbon, contrasting nicely with the Dolphin Grey car paint. All model name call out badges are in black with the CCX script in polished aluminum. Also the back license plate holder is done in black. Except the wheels, which were originally the standard five-hole-telephone-dial wheels, 007042-CCX did not change with its exterior look. The original five-hole-telephone-dial wheels were replaced by forged and polished nine-spoke Edition style wheels. 007042-CCXs exterior look is quite similar to 007060-CCXR which has received also a grey car paint, however if it is a Dolphin Grey can not be confirmed by 100% since the existing photos may have had a different light while taking the photos. There are actually only two differences between the two cars from the outside and bodywork: of course the model name call out badges show CCX on 007042 and CCXR on 007060. Badges behind the front wheel arches are in black on 007042 and in light grey on 007060-CCXR.

Interior Fittings:
007042-CCXs interior is a smooth mix of black leather and a washed out brown-burgundy-red Alcantara. Black leather is used for the center console around the aluminum parts like the radio and the telephone-control-panel and gear stick. Also black leather is used for the seats headrests and down to the center of seats as well as the sides of the seating areas and lower parts of the seats. The parts of the seats which are not done in black leather are finished in a washed out brown-burgundy-red Alcantara as well as the back panel with diamond stichings and hem seams in silver. The lower parts of the doors are also in a washed out brown-burgundy-red Alcantara but without stitchings and but with hem seams. The top of the dashboard is finished in bare carbon accents. For intertainment, a radio with a larger display was fitted as well as an IPod connector. Like the exterior also the interior look is almost identical with 007060-CCXR. The interior fittings show a few differences and 007042-CCX can be differentiated to 007060-CCXR with the following: 007060-CCXR has a newer chrono style instruments and updated gearstick. 007042-CCX has silver stitchings and hem seams and 007060-CCXR has black stitchings and hem seams.
