This car is one of only two Special Edition cars built. It was delivered in late 2009 or early 2010 to a private collection in Florida, where 007072-CCXR-Edition still is parked in a large car collection.

Exterior Look:
The Special Edition package features full Clear Coated Carbon Fiber bodywork and the double-element rear wing. The front splitter is much more agressive than on the standard Edition package. The model name call-out panels on the side read CCXR in contrast tot he Edition cars which show only the Koenigsegg crest. This car rides on the nine-spoke and silver clear coated wheels. As an U.S. specification car it carries the read side marker lights.

Interior Fittings:
The Special Edition interior very closely resembles the Edition interior. It features predominantly black leather and Alcantara and contrasting red leather seats and door inserts. One notable difference on this special Edition ist he red leather dashboard inserts, where on Edition models these are black. Black contrasting Koenigsegg Special Edition labelling on passenger dahsboard and a carbon fiber center console section. This car was one oft he earliest Koenigseggs with the paddle shift transmission. This particular car features an U.S. specification passenger airbag.
