The One:1 is like a relative of the Agera, a family member with samegenetics but still quite different.
At the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014 and the audience was amazed to witness the debut of One:1 and admired the fact that the PS-to-kg curb weight ratio is 1:1.
This ratio gave this Koenigsegg® the model name: One:1
The dry weight of 1360 kg are moved with 1360 PS or 1000 kW. One:1 is the first homologated production car in the world with one Megawatt of power.
Koenigsegg® developed their own 5.0-Liter-Twin-Supercharged-V8-Koenigsegg®-Engine generating the enormous power of 1360 PS – 1000 kW at 7500 rpm and 1371 Nm (679 lb-ft) of torque at 6000 rpm.
One:1 reached a top speed of 440 km/h –273 mph. In 20 seconds One:1 is accelerating from 0-400 km/h. For acceleration and braking from 0-400-0 km/h One:1 needs not more than 30 seconds.The braking distance from 100-0 km/h is 28 meters only. This outstanding performance is forwarded to the rear wheels by a 7-speed-dual-clutch one-input-shaft transmission with paddle shift.
The basis of One:1 is the Agera, however in order to achieve the 1:1 ratio as well as the extraordinary above-mentioned performance, the weight of One:1 had to be reduced by a carbon fibre aluminium honeycomb for the chassis and a car body which is manufactured with pre-impregnated carbon fibre/Kevlar™ together with very lightweight sandwich reinforcements. The chassis itself has a weight of 72 kg only. The very low weights of the original Koenigsegg® in-house-developed engine(197 kg-434 lb) and transmission (81 kg-179 lb) were achieved by special developments using carbon fibre inlet manifold and aluminium construction for the motor.
Toplevel of safety and lowest possible weight for highest performance is not a contradiction for Koenigsegg® and accomplished by the interaction of the Koenigsegg® Dynamically Active RearWing™ and the front splitter with triple winglets and vertical cantered strake. The complete rear wing and front splitter are made out of with pre-impregnated carbon fibre/Kevlar™.
Koenigsegg® Airecore™ carbon wheels with a centre lockingsystem with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear rims allow speeds above 440 km/h – 273mph on Michelin® Cup 2 tyres. A Koenigsegg® Traction Control System™,uniquely engineered front and rear suspension with electronically adjustable ride height are some indicators of high safety standards. Because of the necessary weight reduction and air-intakes for better aerodynamics, the removable hardtop is NOT stowable under the front hood.
